You other photographers know that feeling.. the one when the couple in front of your camera have an effortless way about them, and their smiles and energy are almost infectious. Nathan & Nadine did this for me. Of course there is the occasional posing and direction, but almost every other photo in their collection was one of them cracking up, with natural smiles and laughter. That is what makes a great session for me -- couples who are so in tune with each other that it makes my job as photographer easy!
These two had an idea to take some photos with their pup, to set up a campfire and to make some s'mores during their session. We managed to squeeze all these ideas and a few more into that evening a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier with our result.
Nadine & Nathan began their relationship and engagement around a campfire, and their wedding is going to incorporate one as well, so it was important to have that element in their engagement session. Another thing I love is when couples have an activity they enjoy doing together, and we can bring that into their photos to create a collection that is that much more special and unique.
You two -- I can't wait for your September wedding! I anticipate another round of Who Can Build the Better Fire :)
